TWO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS WIN STATEWIDE
READING CONTEST
Forest Lake Elementary and Round Top Elementary schools are winners in
the “Read Your Way to the Big Game” Contest, a statewide reading challenge held
this fall for students in public primary, elementary and middle schools. The
South Carolina Education Oversight Committee made the announcement this
week. Student winners of the contest have won tickets to the Palmetto Bowl, to
be played by the University of South Carolina Gamecock and Clemson Tiger
football teams on Saturday, Nov. 26.
Forest Lake and Round Top
students met the goal of having 70 percent of their students participate in the
contest.
