Seussical Jr. Performance

The members of the Forest Lake Educational Foundation are preparing for the Silent Auction and musical performance of Seussical Jr.
coming up on February 24, 2017.

 We are looking for donations for the auction and hope that everyone will be able to help. For your convenience you can drop off your items in carpool all next week or bring them into the front office at any time.

Examples of donations: gift cards or gift certificates to local stores, restaurants or service providers,new items of any kind (books, gift items, jewelry, cookware, garden equipment, toys,etc….)

Items may be auctioned off separately or joined together
for themed baskets.

You will also have the opportunity to purchase space in the program with either a sponsorship or advertisement.

Fostering a Love for Literacy at Home!

Who? Pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade parents and children (no younger siblings, please)
When? Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6pm – 7pm
Where? Forest Lake Elementary School
Why? To learn strategies that you can use to support your early reader and writer at home!

Sessions Offered
Reading Super Powers!
This session will focus on strategies parents can use at home to help their children in reading at a variety of developmental stages
Room 40 (Kindergarten Hall)

Lovely Language!
This session will focus on oral language development, including rhyming words, making words, word families, and syllables
Room 38 (Kindergarten Hall)

Wonderful Writing!
This session will include how to create an at-home writing station, learning about the different genres (types) of writing your child will learn about in school, and learning about the stages and progression of writing development
Room 41 (Kindergarten Hall)
