Free Community Health Day!

It’s time to protect yourself against the flu!

Dent Middle School and Prisma Health have partnered to provide a free community health day on Saturday, October 4, 2019. Come get your FREE flu shot from 10 am- 1 pm.

Yearly flu vaccination is the best tool currently available to protect against the flu! Influenza, commonly called the Flu, is a serious disease you can get from anyone infected. Healthy people can get it and adults and children with other chronic diseases, such as diabetes or asthma, are even more at risk.

Prisma Health is helping protect you and your family with free flu shots. The flu shot is available for anyone six months and older. Insurance is not required. Dent Middle School is located at 2721 Decker Blvd., Columbia, SC.

Don't delay! It is time for you to do your update!

ANNUAL REGISTRATION

Parents -
It is that important time of year when you prepare for the following school year! In order for your child to be placed in a class for the 2019-20 school year, you must have completed the District's annual registration and provided a current proof of residency. When this task is taken care of now, you will not miss out on any important information that is shared during the summer as we are not allowed to add students to the school's system until this has been completed. We promise - it's won't take long!

• Please do not make appointments for students that are testing on these dates:

Testing Tips!

• Make sure your child arrives on time (before 8:00). Once testing begins, students that are in testing grades may not enter their classroom. Other grade levels will be walked to their class.

• Make sure your child arrives at school in time to eat breakfast in the cafeteria or has had breakfast at home before coming to school.

• Ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep.

• On testing days, we kindly request that we not have any visitors. This includes parents, mentors, and volunteers.
